Housing In Berkshire

Whatever you’re looking for in a new home, you’ll be able to find it here. Berkshire has some of the finest housing in the country, whether you want a large family home or a small apartment.

Despite mostly falling above the national average in terms of house prices, there are plenty of locations in which you’ll find high quality, affordable housing. Whilst, understandably, the main towns and cities such as Reading, Newbury and Wokingham have some of the higher prices, other places nearby have lower prices for similar properties.

More affordable areas include Tadley, Thatcham, Shinfield and Woodley, with average house prices falling under £300k.

Whilst this may still seem pricey, considering the proximity to London these prices are almost £200k lower than the average prices of the capital. Those looking to start a new home in Berkshire will not be disappointed.
